About

I am a psychiatric clinical nurse specialist with over 40 years of experience in the mental health field. I hold a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Montana State University and a Master of Science in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. I am board certified in psychiatric and mental health nursing by the American Nurses Association.

I have broad experience in inpatient and out patient mental health settings. I work with individuals, couples and families and focus on issues related to depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, chronic health issues and pain.

I have long been fascinated by the subject of resilience and seek to foster resilience in myself and in others through my work. I am trained in Internal Family Systems and Polyvagal Theory, a powerful combination which can lead to deep healing. I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as couples and family therapy. I am very excited about new and expanding research providing insight into the human brain and body how it relates to our humanness, as well as how to nurture meaningful and sustainable change.
